Ice making principle


The core of a plate ice machine is a cooling plate equipped with refrigerant. When the machine starts, the refrigerant is compressed into high-pressure gas by the compressor and enters the condenser. In the condenser, the refrigerant is cooled into a liquid and then enters the evaporator through an expansion valve. In the evaporator, the refrigerant rapidly evaporates, absorbs the surrounding heat, and lowers the surface temperature of the cooling plate. At this point, water is evenly distributed on the surface of the cooling plate through the spray device, rapidly cooling into ice. After the ice layer reaches a certain thickness, the plate ice machine will automatically enter the de icing stage. By reverse heating or hot air blowing, the ice cubes separate from the cooling plate and fall into the storage refrigerator.
